Disclaimer, availability, affiliations and the wallet signature policy.
This page sets out the terms on which this site and its documentation are provided. It is written to be read, not skipped. If anything elsewhere on the site appears to contradict it, this page prevails.
Nature of this site
Informational only
This site describes the design of a protocol that is not launched. Its content is provided for information only. It may be incomplete, may contain errors and may change without notice. No contract address and no parameter value has been published. Descriptions of how the protocol behaves are descriptions of intended design, not of deployed code.
Not advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Nothing here takes your personal situation into account. Decisions about digital assets are yours alone. Consult qualified professionals before making them.
Not an insurance product
Blotter is not insurance, and is not a surety or a deposit protection scheme. It does not cover the bad debt of any lending market. It accepts no claims and pays no compensation. The word "backstop" describes a liquidation mechanism with finite capacity, not a promise to make anyone whole.
No promise of return
No return is promised or implied anywhere on this site. Depositors and stakers can lose part or all of what they commit. Past or simulated results say nothing reliable about future results. The risks are described in Risks, and that description is not exhaustive.
No offer or solicitation
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any token, security or financial instrument, in any jurisdiction. The $BLOT token is not launched. There is no sale, presale, airdrop or allocation. Any $BLOT you see today is not ours. The address will be published only on this site and on @BlotterRH.
The simulator
The simulator is an educational tool. It uses fictional funds. Balances shown in it are numbers stored in your browser. They have no value, cannot be withdrawn and represent no claim on anything.
The simulator's model is a simplification. It assumes a constant-product AMM, a stylized loan book and idealized arbitrage. It ignores, among other things, issuer actions, oracle failures, smart contract failures, transaction costs and the behavior of other market participants. Its outputs are illustrations of a mechanism, not forecasts, and should not be relied on for any decision.
Wallet signature policy
This site never requests a transaction. The only wallet interaction it asks for is a plain-text message signature, used to open a simulation account tied to your address. That signature costs no gas, moves no funds and grants no permission over your assets.
This site never asks you to:
- send a transaction of any kind,
- approve a token or set an allowance,
- sign a permit or any typed-data message that authorizes spending,
- enter, import or reveal a private key or seed phrase.
If a page that presents itself as Blotter asks for any of these, it is not this site. Do not proceed. Blotter does not contact users by direct message and does not provide support through private chats. Official announcements appear only on this site and on @BlotterRH (opens in a new tab).
Availability
Stock Tokens are regulated products, offered only in certain jurisdictions and to certain users. Blotter is not available where Stock Tokens are not available. Accessing this site does not mean that you are permitted to use Stock Tokens, USDG, the protocol described here or any related service where you live. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you. Access to this site or to any future interface may be restricted at any time.
No affiliation and trademarks
Blotter is built on Robinhood Chain. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Robinhood, by any issuer of Stock Tokens or stablecoins, by any stock exchange, by any listed company, or by any lending protocol, oracle provider or AMM mentioned in this documentation. Third-party protocols are mentioned only to describe how their public contracts behave.
All trademarks, service marks, company names and ticker symbols belong to their respective owners. Tickers such as $NVDA, $AAPL and $TSLA are used as examples only. Their use implies no relationship with the companies concerned, no view on their shares and no statement that a corresponding Stock Token exists or is supported.
Software and security
No audit has been published. An audit, when published, does not remove risk. Smart contracts can contain bugs, and interactions with them are irreversible. Any future use of the protocol is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, this site and its content are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and no liability is accepted for losses arising from reliance on them.
Changes
This page may be updated. The version published on this site is the one in force. Continued use of the site after a change means that you accept the updated terms. Questions can be addressed publicly to @BlotterRH (opens in a new tab).
